The community version of n8n is a great way to get started and use the workflow automation and AI features to both learn and create solutions to personalised needs statements. There is also a lot of resources on n8n in Youtube.
Whereas setting up the community instance over docker is relatively easy, it has been a couple of times now that I have had my local install corrupted and lost the data. Whereas it has been disappointing to have lost some really cool workflows, it also provided me an opportunity to understand why the issue has had happened. As it turns out, it is about the indiosyncracies of docker container configuration and management. I use Docker Desktop; and now with my AI assist through the Claude-Flow methodology to create the workflow. However, the mysteries of (of practical and reliable) Docker management still have caught me up - nevertheless, this time, I have documented my recovery steps and sharing with you.
